We couldn't think of a better day to spotlight Southland's newest licensed Professional Engineer than on National PE Day.

New PE Spotlight — Zac Saddler, PE, Site Development Project Engineer at Southland Consulting Engineers

Please join us in congratulating Zac Saddler, PE on earning his Professional Engineer license in the state of Texas.

Three years at Southland

Zac has been with Southland for over three years and is a critical part of our commercial land development team. During his tenure he's worked on the civil design for:

  • Data centers — including the kind of high-density power and cooling infrastructure that defines this generation of mission-critical development
  • Hotels — site grading, parking, utilities, and stormwater coordination on hospitality sites across DFW
  • Apartment complexes — multi-family site planning, fire access, and stormwater compliance

That diverse project portfolio means Zac can provide strategic guidance from initial site evaluation through entitlements and permitting — a hard combination of skills to find in one engineer.

In his own words

"I've always been drawn to the idea that the work we do leaves a lasting impact. Whether it's a data center powering the digital world or infrastructure that supports everyday life, there's something fulfilling about seeing a project go from concept to reality."

About National PE Day

This year marks the 10th annual celebration of #LicensedPEDay. Southland is proud to celebrate the contributions of licensed Professional Engineers alongside the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) — the professionals whose stamp on a set of plans is what turns a design into something buildable, accountable, and safe.

Congratulations Zac, and Happy National PE Day to every licensed engineer building the world around us.
